The Process

The product design process covers the problem statement, user research, personas, user stories, flow diagrams, information architecture, design systems and wireframes

The goal of a high-fidelity mockup is to provide a pixel-perfect representation of the final product. It is useful for gaining approval of design ideas from stakeholders and team members, as they provide a clear and detailed representation of the product’s final design.

Mockups

The visual design of this solution strategy has been initiated as a set of low fidelity wireframes. Low fidelity wireframes are quicker to produce and allow flexibility of design while iteratively presenting to stakeholders. The goal at this stage is to move quickly with design objectives without a strong commitment to aesthetic details.

Wireframes

Although facility engineering jobs will still require some on-site work, such as visiting project sites or supervising manufacturing in person, there is still a growing portion of facility managers and engineers who work remotely.

The use case being explored here is the ability to do a site survey remotely. The existing process of moving around the building, taking pictures and compiling notes is cumbersome and inefficient. In addition, it is difficult to share these results with various stakeholders who work in different locations.
